Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 3, 2026

Who we are

Skylume provides airfield intelligence software for fixed base operators (FBOs) and airport managers: a receiver installed at an airfield records aircraft movements, and a web dashboard at app.skylume.net presents traffic, analytics, and reports to the airfield's staff. This policy describes what information Skylume collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use this information only to provide and support the Skylume service: operating the dashboard, sending the email and text message alerts that contacts were enrolled for, responding to inquiries, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messaging (SMS)

Skylume can send text message alerts about airfield events (for example takeoffs, landings, low passes, and fuel transactions) to mobile numbers enrolled by an airfield administrator. Enrollment is done with the contact's agreement, and each contact chooses which event types they receive. Message frequency varies with airfield activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. A contact can also be removed at any time by the airfield's administrator in the dashboard.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except for service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that operate parts of the service on our behalf: our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and our SMS delivery provider. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function and may not use it for any other purpose. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not share or sell personal information to third parties for their own marketing.

Retention and security

Account and contact information is kept while the related airfield account is active and deleted on request. Traffic is encrypted with TLS, credentials are stored hashed, and connected fuel system credentials are stored encrypted.
