Terms of Service
EFFECTIVE AUGUST 3, 2026
The service
Skylume provides airfield intelligence software for fixed base operators (FBOs) and airport managers. A receiver installed at an airfield records aircraft movements from publicly broadcast ADS-B signals, and the dashboard at app.skylume.net presents traffic, analytics, reports, and optional email and text message alerts to the airfield's staff. By using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
Accounts
Dashboard accounts are created for airfield operators and their staff. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Accounts may only be used for the airfield operations they were issued for.
Text message alert program
Skylume offers an optional text message alert program: an airfield administrator enrolls a contact's mobile number, with that contact's agreement, to receive automated alerts about selected airfield events (takeoffs, landings, low passes, and fuel transactions). The following terms apply to it:
- Messages are automated operational alerts, not marketing.
- Message frequency varies with airfield activity and the event types selected.
- Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from further texts.
- Reply HELP for help, or use the contact form.
- An enrolled contact can also be removed at any time by the airfield's administrator.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Consent to receive alerts is not a condition of any purchase, and mobile numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
Data and accuracy
Movement records are derived from ADS-B signals broadcast by aircraft; aircraft without functioning transponders will not appear, and reception varies with terrain and equipment. Figures labeled as modeled or estimated are computed from documented assumptions and are labeled as such in the dashboard. The service is an operational aid: it is not a source of air traffic control, navigation, or safety-of-flight information, and it must not be used as one.
Acceptable use
You may not attempt to breach the service's security, access another organization's data, resell the service without an agreement, or use it in violation of law. We may suspend accounts that do.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skylume is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and its total liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date above is updated when we do, and continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance. Questions can be sent through the contact form on skylume.net.
